Not bad Chinese in Castro Valley

Wendy Lai | Jun 12, 2006 12:34 PM

Castro Valley isn't a shining becon in any cuisine, let alone Chinese. But this past weekend my Dad and I tried out a new place that was half way decent.

Valley Seafood used to be something else five months ago, a Schezwan place. But now it's Valley Seafood, chinese food.

We ordered mix seafood in a bird's nest. But instead of fried noodles, they used fried shredded potatos, which was really nice, like French fries! Also ordered stir fried pea shoots with garlic and steamed stuffed tofu with shrimp.

Everything was very clean tasting, the flavor was good. The pea shoots were tender and picked over very well. I asked for low salt and low oil and they indeeded came out as I specified.

The services was super friendly.

I would definitely go back again.
