Bought a container and made some fabulous pasta with my baby chokes and put the remaining ones out in the garage fridge (wrapped in plastic). And then promptly forgot they were there.
It's been a solid 2 weeks but they are still mostly bright colored with about the same amount of discoloration that they had when I bought them. Outside of obvious fuzz, mold or "shrunken-head stems".. is there another way I can tell that they are past due and trash bound? Would like to put them on pizza tonight if they are salvageable. How do you know when an artichoke is "compast" and not repast?
