My wife and I spent an outstanding 4-day mini-vacation in New York City this past weekend with the company of some good friends. We had great food, great company, and an awesome time.
However, what was supposed to be the best dinner reservation of the 4-days was BABBO. We had a Sunday 8:30 PM reservation for four. After pushing our way to the reception area, we were told to wait. After waiting and being pushed some more for 20 minutes, we were told to wait in the crowded bar because it was going to be "a while". There was NO space in the crowded/loud bar. I suggest to anyone still reading this, TO AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. we had memorable meals at - Rene Pujols, Francisco Centro Vasco, and DB Bistro-- where even though the food was not memorable, the service and ambiance was......
