Had lunch at Azuri today. Chicken shishkebab platter. Really great. I mean really. I have lived in Israel, I eat at all the middle eastern joints all over town - this is the real deal. I'm going back as soon as possible. Got a meat bureka to go. Smells fabulous. He apparently makes his own pita, too - which was good.
And as far as the guy being a curmudgeon - well, he was completely easy to deal with. Asked my name, even. I suppose it helps that I speak fluent, accent-free Hebrew. But he was just fine - he's just really busy so chatty friendly is not on his agenda.
Go eat the food.
