Azalina Eusope, who has been looking for space for a B&M for her Azalina's Malaysian, has landed a space in the Market Square building, a. k. a. the Twitter Building. It will feature an open kitchen and be part of a retail/restaurant complex she said was envisioned to be somewhere between the Ferry Building Marketplace and Eataly, and will include other projects by Dominique Crenn and the AQ people.
Azalina is best known for her stall at Off the Grid Fort Mason Center (she is a charter vendor) but also has done a series popups at Wise Sons Deli and as a Monday night guest chef at Jardiniere. She also has extensive catering experience and recent cheffing at Twitter HQ was probably key in her being offered the spot.
I don't know the details of the Market Square development but her space will be at the 10th Street end, across the street from NEMA. No firm opening date has been set, but September is an overall target date for the projects.
