I just got this note from the Boston Sushi Society mailing list. IMO, Sushi Corner has great food. It's a tiny hole in the wall located in the Shaw's parking lot in Melrose. Everything I've gotten there has been outstanding (especialy the ankimo). Hsu is the owner/chef, used to work at Sushi Island in Wakefield.
I have found that the prices there are pretty good- we generally spend about $50 on sushi for 2, and leave pretty full, so I actually think we usually fare better, price-wise, ordering from the menu vs. AYCE deal. But for those of you who love to go nuts on an AYCE, it's not a bad price. And it's BYOB :-)
Just thought I'd let everyone now that what was a great deal has just become even better! I just got a phone call from Hsu, the sushi chef at Sushi Corner (18C Essex St. in Melrose, MA). For January and February, he is lowering his AYCE price from $29.95 down to $19.95 for lunch, and $24.95 for dinner! This offer is only good for Sunday dinner through Thursday lunch. (No lunch on Sunday or Monday). Lunch hours are until 2:30 pm. Dinner starts again at 5 pm.
Sushi is made fresh to order and includes anything on the maki or nigiri menu (but go easy on the uni!) :)
