Awesome farmers market in Boynton Beach!!!

Soflsguy | Dec 13, 2009 12:31 PM

A few months ago I was driving north on SR7 and ran across this little roadside stand selling sweet corn. I stopped and was greeted by a young lady named Meghan who seemed as sweet as the corn itself. This young lady told me that the corn was locally grown by members of her family and that they would soon have a new farmers market at the location that would be selling produce "fresh off the farm". I was kind of skeptical and didn't think much about it until I passed by the location today. Sure enough, there was a 9000 square foot barn style buliding that will soon be Bedner's Farm Fresh Market. I pulled into the parking lot and was once again greeted by Meghan, who for some reason seemed to remember me. The little roadside stand has grown considerably and occupies 1 side of the parking lot. Apparently the market will stay this way until the store is completed. I have to tell you, I would not be sitting here on a beautiful Sunday typing this if I was not impressed. This farming family is the real deal! They are selling some of the best looking produce I have ever seen. There is a U-Pick on site that has some of the sweetest and plumpest strawberries that I have ever bit into. They were also making home made ice cream and were also offering those huge smoked turkey legs and smoked sweet corn. It really seems like these folks are working hard to turn this place into a "destination" instead of just another store. This place is on the west side of SR7 about half way between Atlantic Ave and Boynton Beach Blvd. They also have a website, I think it is . I am definitely going back next weekend, they said that Santa will be there for the kids.
