I'll be in Chicago for just a few nights over New Year's Eve. I'll be staying in the Loop. On New Year's Eve, I'm planning to go for a memorable dinner somewhere with about 4 old friends. I've been searching through the Chicago board and have come up with some ideas, but I thought I'd pose the question:
Where can we dine memorably, and relatively inexpensively (from outright cheap to about 40 bucks each max)? We'd be open to just about any cuisine, especially Asian or Latin American. The more authentic and less trendy, the better. We'll go anywhere the El goes. Chicago Chowhounds, we ask you for guidance.
