I was REALLY trying to avoid this but I need help!

My mom and I will be in NYC next weekend and will ONLY have VERY late night Saturday (after 1am i'm guessing!) and Sunday breakfast and lunch to get our FIRST tastes of NYC.

We're staying at the New Yorker (34th and 10th) and will be spending most of our time at MLK Jr High on saturday.

I have done so much research the past few days and all I've done is eliminated many options that i'm NOT interested in for various reasons:

The Breslin or Spotted Pig (mom would go nuts at the fattyness and saltyness)
Shake Shack (we have one in Miami where im from)
Scarpetta (again, have it here)
Bouloud anything (have it here!)

My short list as of right now:
Artichoke Basille Pizza for late Saturday (any other recs for LATE would be awesome!!)
Laconda Verde
Torrisi (or Parm for lunch now i guess? will probably be packed so will try to avoid)
Szechuan Gourmet
Xi'an's Famous

Levain is also on the "absolutely happening" list.

Would preferrably love to be able to eat an early breakfast, then be able to walk around/explore in either 5th ave, broadway, little italy, or chinatown, then eat lunch before heading out to the airport. so if breakfast and lunch can be located within exploring distance, that would be amazing!
