About ten years ago my wife and I went to Guangzhou (formerly Canton) in China. The food was terrific. It was slightly similar, but so superior to the classic American Cantonese we all grew up with.
I want to know if there are any authentic Guangdong (the provence)restaurants in NYC. Perhaps in Flushing?
Now I'm not talking about chow mien, shrimp w lobster sauce or sweet and sour pork, but the real dishes they are based on.
