El Jacalito is located at 1500 Royal York, just at Lawrence Avenue. It is a traditional(read authentic) mexican restaurant located in an ex-banquet hall.
Saturday evenings seem a lot of fun. There is, on top of the regular menu, a $30 all-you-can-eat buffet with a dazzling (according to Now Magazine, who has an excellent review of the place) show: folkloric dance troupe Tonatluh and wise-guy mariachi quartet Viva Mexico. Great food and wonderful music will make for an exceptional fun evening. The dinner/show on Saturdays starts at 8 PM so I suggest that we reserve for 7h30 appr. Cochinita Pibil, Pozole, Pico de gallo.... hmmm, are you hungry yet? If you could let me know who wants to come by August 7, it's a reasonable delay for me to make arrangements.
The price should be approximately the same as Anatolia, especially if we take the (Jimmy)buffet!
By the way, I found the info in Now magazine online, www.nowtoronto.com. No trace of it in the phonebook yet, unless I was looking at the wrong pages... lol!
Entonces buen provecho y hasta luego!
