Haven't lived in PA Dutch country (Berks/Lancaster counties) for well over 15 years, but I got a craving for shoofly pie on New Year's Day. So, I put it on my list of resolutions (make a wet bottom shoofly pie). I didn't exactly grow up with this (my family is not PA Dutch) but I am haunted by the memory of such a pie I ate (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). Anyway, I'm looking for a tried-and-true recipe with the gooey bottom and the crumb-y topping. I don't actually know anyone who made one from scratch and an internet search yields some conflicting ingredients. So, if you've actually baked one, can you help me?
