Restaurants & Bars 2

Last night we visited Phoenician Gyro Cafe, 4796 Canton Road, for the second time. The waitress was very pleasant, the food was excellent, the restaurant was vacant. During the hour we were there, 8pm to 9pm, one carry out order was their only other business.

My wife had a beef wrap for $10.95 which she said was very good, but should have been served on a plate, rather than in a plastic basket, considering the price. My pork tenderloin dinner for $19.95 was superb. It was served with pilaf and grilled vegetables (green bell pepper, onion, and sliced tomato)- which were as good as I have ever had.

The location is about a mile south of the Cherokee county line, immediately south of Jamerson Road, on the east side of the street. They are open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner. The two dishes we ordered last night were at the top of their menu price range. Most offerings are a little less money. They accept cash only - no credit cards - so come prepared.
