Checked it out tonite. It was just so-so. Not really worth the walk from Sunnyside, but would be okay, if you lived in the neighborhood.
Started with the fried calamari app. Tasted fresh enough (not frozen) and the dipping sauce was decent. Smelled a little fishy when it came to the table. Still, not bad. Mango salad app was decent as well, but lacked the freshness and vibrantness of other mango salads I've had (namely at Sripraphai). It was unusually salty, but the avocado was really soft and a great addition to the dish.
Entree was basil tofu. It was super greasy. The tofu was actually seitan (I believe), with a very meaty texture. Basil was kind of chewy, but the peppers and onions were nice and crispy. The overall flavor of the dish was butter, even though I asked that it be spicy. I ordered brown rice, which was stale and flavorless. Tasted at least a day old.
Husband had chicken massaman curry. It was pretty good and the peanuts were nice and crunchy. Lots of chicken, but missing potatoes, though.
Service was fine. Had to ask for chopsticks. Total came to $40, including tip.
