Huge menu of authentic, mostly non-Cantonese Chinese. Large portions at a very reasonable price. Very tender and fatty skin-on braised pork shoulder in brown gravy, available in versions with and without bone ("stew pork shoulder picnic" which feeds 3,"stew pork elbow boneless" which feeds 2). Whole squirrel fish in a light batter with sweet sour sauce (enough for 3), we marveled at the knife work required to carve the fish before it was fried. Soft lamb meatballs with bean thread noodles in a winter melon soup were a repeat favorite. Steamed buns with lamb or pork (listed as "Tianjin style") came 6 per order and were juicy although not as soupy as true Xiao long bao. Cold appetizers we tried were ok but would likely not order again (Nanjing duck, spicy rabbit). Some Szechuan dishes as well had spice levels which were not toned down to western palates. Would love to come back and try their northern style dimsum and noodles (weekends only).
