Ashland:Pilaf,Anne Hathaway's B & B

From all the rave reviews, tried Pilaf before a show. Told them I needed to make the 2:00 show, towit waiter said that would be no problem. Ordered mango lassi & felaful. Felaful came pretty promptly, but with no pita! That was an extra $1, making the dish $6.50. It was outstanding: very fresh crisp but not rock hard, with fluffy insides.
The lassi was a nightmare. I had to ask its status several times, was told they are "shorthanded in the kitchen & are doing their best." (Why did he tell me on-time delivery would be no problem?) It finally arrived when I was done eating, rather pointless by that time, but I didn't protest. I should have. It was the worst, by far, mango lassi I've ever had. They simply don't know what they are doing. It was crammed full of ice (suitable for a 7-11 Slurpy), which deadened the tastebuds. It should have little to no ice. And I tasted not a hint of mango flavor!
I won't return. What's so great about this inconsistent place?

My stay at Anne Hathaway's B & B was another story. The breakfasts were outstanding. Fresh ginger scones & coffeecake, fresh squeezed OJ, fritattas & tarts, oh my! I'll definately repeat.
