Wanted to share this recommendation -

Once every six weeks or so, I head down to the North End to Firicano's barber shop on North Street across from the North Street Grille - Richie is a young guy who has the best $12 haircut in the city, but to the chow -

Then, freshly coiffed, I stroll over to Artu on Prince Street and for $4, get a pint container of antipasto - the offerings sit in the window and differ each day - so today, started off with a little Italian rice and peas, some beautiful fennel, mushrooms, red and yellow bell peppers and zucchini, all marinated with olive oil, herbs and pepper (very little salt) and grilled this morning. $6 gets you the biggest size, which is a great deal, but too much for lunch for me. Comes with a hunk of bread - the best deal in N. End for my money.

Then I'll pick up some pignoli cookies at Modern - Who has the best pignolis? Would love feedback on that.

It's my little North End treat to myself.
