Does anyone agree with me that the art of sushi has died? I can't help but notice that rolls are now made ahead of time. And I swear that they don't put vinegar in the rice anymore. And -- shocking -- I got sushi with warm rice the other week!! And remember when they used to heat the eel in the little toaster and when they seared the salmon skin for each and every roll? I am certain that sushi masters would roll over in their grave if they saw the state of sushi today. What is that smoked salmon and cream cheese roll all about? That is plain nonsense.
