I went to Aroma last night for an early dinner. While I didn't expect much, the decor is just all right, the food lived up to all the fawning in the press its been getting.
Started off with the Antipasto, which had really good Burratta Cheese, the followed with the Mango Salad with Shrimp and Calamari. My friend said she could tell what the dressing was like, but like the dish regardless. I agree with her.
I followed that with the Veal Chop with a sun-dried brown sauce. So good. For a new place, the service could be a tab bit better, but over all, I look forward to eating there again. Just what S'lake needs, an actual good place to eat, not another shitey breakfast joint.
