I ate at Arnaud's Sunday night and was disapointed. The food was bland and uninspired. The servers were very nice, tried hard but were not top drawer. For example they forgot our side dishes and served the apetizers to the wrong people.
I noticed all the waitstaff were young. Do they have a high turnover?
Also, they served uncut bread without bread plates. Not from NO we did not know this to be the tradition. However I looked around and saw no one had bread plates so I picked it up and tore pieces off for the table. This was fine. However, I heard other people mentiong this and saw one table struggling to cut the bread with their butter knives. Perhaps a short explanation up front would have prevented some uneasiness.
