New Argentine and japanese

A new restaurant has opened on Smith Street called Sur.
We had a very good dinner, the mixed grill was more
than enough for two, the skirt steak, the blood
sausage, and other sausages and ribs were very good.
We also tried the filet which had good flavor and came
with particularly tasty sweet potatoes: can't remember
the right name, but cut thin with onions and butter and
milk and baked. Would go back just for that. The
table next to us had some wonderful looking shrimp
appetizers and empanadas. For dessert I had a dulce de
leche crepe, which will go well with fans of d de l.
Small space. Like a number of new restaurants that
have opened very modest number of tables.

A new Japanese restaurant has opened as well on Court
Str. Osaka, right next door to Sweet Melissas. The
sushi and shashime is quite good. We were disappointed
in the tempura, light batter but a bit oily. We
mentioned that it seemed the oil needed to be hotter,
but they didn't agree. Will have to try again. Have
tried a few other things, and they were good but not
great. But if your main interest is sushi probably
will be pleased

Both restaurants were still serving around 10pm on
weeknights.
