April Foods Day Pranks

Perilagu Khan | Apr 1, 201409:31 AM     15

Any o' you lot every play food pranks or have them played on you on April Fools Day? The Khantessa got me good this morning.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, she sets out a couple of homemade bran muffins for my breakfast. Today was no different except the muffins seemed unusually cold and heavy. No biggie, really. Her muffins vary from batch to batch, and occasionally she forgets to thaw them out in time so they are sometimes a bit cool. Hence, I didn't suspect a thing.

Well, as I was hawing into my first "muffin," the Khantessa was obviously on the verge of bursting into great gales of laughter. Directly, I understood why. These muffins were not made from any kind of bran mixture. Oh no--they were--horribile dictu--MEATLOAF muffins!

Boy hahdee. It's a mighty strange sensation when you bite into something you expect to be X, and it turns out to be a completely different Y.

She got me good, the little rapscallion.
