Why is Apple Juice Everything? (in Smoothie and Mixed Juice)

I don't drink smoothie very often, but I noticed that apple juice is a very popular and prominent ingredients in smoothies. Apple juice is often the first three ingredients in smoothies, and some of these smoothies do not even remotely appear to be related to apple in first glance. To illustrate my point, apple juice is listed as the first major ingredient of this "Probiotic Machine Tropical Mango" smoothie from Naked (look under nutritional information tab).
Apple juice is also the first major ingredient for this "Berry Blast" smoothie:
Now, let's look at Odawalla as well. In the "Original Superfood", apple juice is the first ingredient.
Same here for "Berries GoMega":

This is not always the case. Apple juice is nowhere to be found in this "Pumpkin Super Protein" shake.

Still, apple juice seems to be a pretty important ingredient for most of the cases.
Why do you think that? I can think of a few reasons:
* I have a very un-randomized sampling. In reality, apple juice is not that important.
* Apple juice is cheap, and therefore cut the cost.
* Apple juice makes everything taste better and therefore easier to sell these stuffs.

What is your opinion?
