I made this recipe as a trial this past week. I loved the look, Italian custard and crust. I think the apples themselves were a little lackluster. The custard has a hint of lemon undertone....a real hint.
Looking at expert bakers to give me a hand... What I didn't think is to sprinkle the whole think with some icing sugar... That's sweet but no flavor. Maybe vanilla it?
