Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

maillard | Feb 24, 200706:13 AM     2

I wanted to make apple cinnamon steelcut oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow. I'd like to have tasty caramelized apples that are kind of syrupy either to mix in or serve on top of the oatmeal. This is probably a very easy thing to do, but I can't quite figure out how and I'm not really in the mood to experiment, since I'm not making it just for myself. Does anyone have a recipe or at least some guidelines? Estimated measures would be helpful. I have 4 apples (macintosh, I think... hope this is a good apple for this purpose).

Thanks!
