Just got back from dinner at Baraka Cafe. Ordered from the appetizers: eggplant and lebne, merguez beef and lamb sausages and chickpea custard. The eggplant was soothing with a tinge of smokiness that went well with the cheese on top. The merguez (4 links) was served in a delicious tomato-based sauce. The chickpea custard was sort of bland and rubbery. The grilled flat bread was served cut into strips and sprinkled with black seeds (nigella?). The by-now famous rose lemonade was wonderful.
Bill came to $17 odd dollars. Will be back.
