appetite for arepas

has anyone out there mastered the art of the arepa? i have done a bit of initial research and it seems there are a few schools of thought: venezuelan v. colombian. beyond that, the range of ingredients runs from the very simple masa harina + water + oil to the more complex recipes. cooking methods range from frying to baking to steaming..and also all sort of combinations of the said methods.

help please?
