A brief report about this Basque pintxos bar in the now-gentrified Bloomingdale neighborhood. How fast this area is changing!
I tried two pintxos (the Basque version of tapas), and both were correct. Croquetas of the day were pea shoots in a bechamel sauce, and the anchovy and salmon roe montadito was served on a really nice bread that was both dense and a bit spongy, the perfect choice. The first was $4 and the later $5. It could get quite expensive eatign this way. At $6, the patatas bravas looked like a hearty portion, so that would be a way to get sustenance if you want to turn this into a meal. There is more selection at dinner time.
I am definitely encouraged to go back.
