Had the displeasure of dining at Antonias by the Park in North Bergen Saturday nite. We were a large party, only 1 of three tables dining on a Saturday nite, should have been a warning. Very cold atmosphere, walked in, no hello or greeting from desk girl, we walked ourselves to the waiting party. The waiter came over, you could hardly understand him, his English was poor. We wanted tostart with Buffalo Mozzarella which appears on the regular menu, But alas, they had none. How does this happen on a Saturday nite.?
The bread was stale. My entree Bolognese sauce was burnt and the pasta was overcooked. The guys had the seafood special, the lobster was cooked to death. Usually when a large party dines people come over and see how everything is, this never happened. I felt like we sat, we ate we left. COLD, COLD, COLD.
Dessert was fun The coffee came and 1/2 hour later the desserts did? Thanks to my decaf cappucino, which I guessed was caffeinated I fell asleep about 4:00Am that morning. My brothers ice cream was more"ice chips" than ice cream. Italian cheeseckae, they should be ashamed to serve it.
From The crowded parking lot I guess there was a party in the back room, I guess they were getting all the attention. You will never see me again.
