Since moving deeper into Brooklyn, I've been exploring the West Indian neighborhoods more and enjoying what I've found (MacKenzie's, E & R Restaurant, Glenda's, Ali's, Billy's). I've also noticed - but haven't yet tried - Panamanian and Bajan cuisine.
Getting to the point, I just got back from Paris, where the best meal I had was at a Guadeloupian/ Antillean restaurant (see post on the International Page). Now, Guadeloupe is still a French colony, but with the large West Indian population in NYC (I focused on Brooklyn, but it's elsewhere, too), is this Antillean food anywhere to be found here? Do Bajan and Panamanian restaurants measure up? I'd appreciate any leads.
