It is rare I’ll start with a discussion about service, but this was memorably inept. As I told the manager, for a hotel of this class it was inexcusable. It was mostly pleasant but it wasn’t present.
As to the food, top notch ingredients and mixed results because the inconsistency seemed to present in the kitchen as well. There were a few tastes of brilliance. However, dishes that could have been stellar missed the mark because of poor execution … including their famous French toast.
I went twice. I wanted to try the Sunday buffet and I knew they didn’t serve the French toast for brunch. Also, they have three special coffees I wanted to try.
Both experiences were the same … mixed. At least the place is consistent.
