Answering the Eternal Question: Where Should I Eat in Chicago

David Hammond | Apr 14, 200202:52 PM

Several recent posts have dealt with ways to answer the eternal out-of-towner question (“where should I eat in Chicago?”)

I’m thinking that instead of doing a synopsis of past posts, I would just direct tourists to some of the best posts of the past two years (focusing on those posts that have fairly complete comments as well as restaurant addresses and, ideally, phone numbers).

So, I’m thinking of organizing a list something like this:

Vietnamese noodles:
[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

Pakistani cab joints:
[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

Soul:
[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

Filipino:
[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

Vegetarian:
[BROKEN LINK REMOVED]

Obviously, I would need to include a lot more headings, and more under each heading, but you get the idea.

In the final version of this generic post, we can recommend that tourists check out other responses in each thread.

What do you think? I’d love to hear from hounds concerning what they consider to be recent helpful posts. I volunteer to keep this list updated every two months or so.
