We are having our annual NYC girl trip a little early this year. We were there in November and dined at Manhatta, Marea, and Scalinatella. I am a vegetarian from Vancouver and she is an omnivore from Sweden. We are looking for 3 dinners:
1. A replacement for Scalinatella. We love the food, scene, space etc but are just looking for a change this trip (my friend not me!:).
2. An of the moment restaurant that's all the buzz right now. It was Manhatta last time we were there. Last June it was Frenchette... you get the gist
3. And a special dinner out ie Le Bernardin. We have been to Le Bernardin, Marea, and Per Se and need something that I can book now for June 13, 14 or 15. I know most of the high end restaurants are 2 months out so maybe we are out of luck?
Also, we are usually in New York in late fall/winter so never really go to open air roof top bars. But plan to this time around. Is this a day-time thing just for hotel guests of a particular roof-top? or can anyone go? Do you go at night and go into the pool as well? Just wondering how all of this works:)
Any recs for checking this out would be great.
Thanks in advance!
