I have seen the Angon light

I just finished one of the better indian meals of my life. I am by no means an indian food expert, but I absolutely loved the food and can see why so many rave about it on this board. I went for lunch today, which was a bit strange, since when i walked in there was absolutely no one in the place. I asked when they were searving and the host (who was uber friendly) said they served lunch, but because they were so busy last night and make everything fresh daily, they were waiting on deliveries still, but he could offer a limited menu.
I had made the trek so I put my meal in the hands of a somewhat binded, resource limited Mina.
I started off with the Lamb Halim and some nan, and was blown away by the texture of the lamb and the abilty to mix a heavy substantialy textured dish with a sauce that from my indian experience was lighter than normal and delicate. Yet the flavors still held up.
Next I had the chicken curry with rice. Again, the tenderness of the meat was amazing. It basicly melted in your mouth, and this was chicken? The curry was very fresh and clean and again the sauce was much lighter than i expected. This dish could have used a bit more heat, but it was still hot enough to clear my sinus. Overall two of the best indian dishes ever and well, the nan, bubbly and perfect.
I am so glad that i finally got over there to try this and will be back soon for dinner.
I hope others continue to go and keep mina busy and thanks to the others who have posted an informed!
