Had a great dinner (and lunch the following day) at Andina (1314 NW Glisan, 503.228.9535).
I am not an authority on Peruvian food, so I don't know how authentic it was - but it tasted great. (Was recommended to me by a Peruvian friend.)
Lots of small tasty plates (I never got to any of the main dishes):
- A page full of Ceviche choices. If you like seafood, the "Mixto" is a must. (They also have vegeterian Ceviches for the non-seafood persons.)
- "Quinoa crusted shrimp bites" are wonderful (these are no "bites" - these are full size shrimp.
- "Octopus in an olive cloud" is great if you like octopus.
- Beef heart skewers were wonderful
- The bread basket comes with wonderful dipping sauce. (The home made rolls that show up only at dinner time, hidden among the baugette slices, are wonderful)
- Pashion fruit desert was very good.
Prices: $5 - 8 for appertizers; $12 - 20 entrees. Not cheap but worth the memorable experience.
