An evening that took a few unexpected turns found us on the waterfront looking for a late dinner. Just missed the last dining room seating at Sel de la Terre, didn't think the late bar menu looked that promising, jumped a cab for something in the South End.
Opting for Anchovies proved fortuitous, a booth ready for the taking the moment we walked in despite the usual late Saturday night mob. A bargain Chianti, a pizza with lightly carmelized onions and good Italian sausage, and the reliable eggplant parm added up to a just-right late-evening, $44 meal with tax. Service friendly and attentive as ever, and we took good leftovers home.
