Anchorage Eats

I'll be in Anchorage in a week (for a week) for work and hope to get some time to explore local foods, either dining or buying to take home. Does anyone have any suggestions? And is the farmers market still open? One website says it will be closed by then, the other that it will still be open. I've seen good mentions of the Marx Brothers Cafe -- looks pricey but delicious, and therefore a potential dinner spot - and Sacks Cafe. I've heard that Gwennies is a good pick for breakfast. But I haven't been able to find out much more, except to try reindeer sausage from a hot dog cart, which I will do. I'll be staying downtown and won't have a car. Any ideas? Thanks to all in advance!!
