Hi all! I am planning a 9-day trip to Amsterdam in mid-September. My boyfriend and I live in Brooklyn and are adventurous eaters, so we are interested in basically any good food, but I would like to focus on things that we can't easily get in NYC. I'm looking for a mix of higher-end restaurants (I'd like to have reservations for at least half the nights we're there), as well as breakfast/lunch/anything in between that might be of interest.

Here's what I am considering so far:
Max and/or Kartika for Indonesian (we want to do a rijstafel for sure)
Greetje (seems like one of the few high-end places I have found with an emphasis on Dutch food)
Blauw aan de Wal
Vleminckx for fries
De Kas
Merkelbach for dinner or maybe a long lunch
Noordermarket--are there any good vendors here/best days to go?
Cafe Bern
Gebroeder Niemeijier for pastries/bread

As you can see, I need to flesh this list out. Any thoughts/suggestions? Any of these NOT worth a visit?

Thanks in advance!
