Nice decor, very friendly and courteous service, even a comp dessert for our anniversary...HOWEVER, "famed" sausage appetizer was okay but rather dried-out, baked clams were six shells full of dry breadcrumbs served cold, (is this something "nouveau" or just bad?), wife's zuchini dish was "nothing special" and rather bitter, my lamb chops, while meaty enough, just didn't have that braized lamb flavor (or any flavor, really)and were rather "mealy", and they were served with something called "a mushroom risotto" that was, again, rather tepid in temperature and had a texture like understirred oatmeal left on the table too long...I couldn't believe it. I told them I must have misheard the specials and was not a risotto fan...they brought me a small dish of microwaved "rosemary" potatoes. I was sure glad we only ordered two glasses of house wine. Asked for the check ASAP, and then they brought the comp dessert! Anyway, maybe it was an off night, but I doubt it, since the place was probably 75% empty at 8:00 on a Saturday night...but again, very friendly and courteous folks, which was why I felt uncomfortable complaining....guess I need more practice.
