I was walking through the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore and stopped to get a soft pretzel at Auntie Anne's pretzel stall in the middle of the plaza at Fells Point. Oh my goodness, it was one of the best things I've eaten all year! I usually skip soft pretzels because they're almost always just wads of heavy tasteless cold dough. But this one -- it was warm, and had a toothsome soft crust and the most delicious flavor and texture! Are they always that good from that stall? Dare I try another Auntie Anne's pretzel elsewhere, or am I doomed to be disappointed for the rest of my life?
