Really, I expected to like it, but instead was blown away. The place is adorable, of course, and very friendly. But the food! Top 5 meal in NYC material. We had: huge sardines; braised whole artichokes; pan roasted trout stuffed with ham and rosemary (and roasted, the owner told us, in especially delicious pork fat); mezzelune stuff with duck topped with raddichio and speck; and pannacotta. And a lovely $40 bottle of valpolicella. Everything was equally delicious. And because we got there a little early, the owner told us to go have a drink down the block at Total Wine Bar (which is cute and has a nice list), and we got a free glass of port at the end of our CO meal. :)
Bill came to about $120 for two, with tax and tip. I'd go back in a second.
