Visited a Vietnamese place called Hong Thanh this last Sunday night . First , the place itself it beautiful , much nicer then the buildings around it . The food was great , as was the service . I had what for my novice tastebuds was probably a Vietnamese pork stew . It was fantastic . Real pork , not the pseudo-pork you get at a lot of Chinese places . Also , black sesame seed ice cream for desert ! Don't know if this is a common desert for this kind of dining or not , but I enjoyed it . My girlfriend had the ginger ice cream , which I also love . She had the brazed duck entree , very nice . She also had a appetizer which was shrimp & sweet potatos kind of meshed together & quick fried . It was , interesting . It wasn't on the table long , so I guess she enjoyed it . They have plenty of menu choices , specials being mostly in the $11 range , but tons of items for around $ 6 ! We'll be back again very soon .
