Aluminum Fry Pan and Sauce Pan

RunBe4UFly | Aug 15, 200709:34 AM     6

Just came across some aluminum fry pan and saunce pan. NSF stamped on the bottom and "3004 Alloy" too. Anyone knows what that 3004 alloy is?
Does anyone use aluminum pan anymore? Those pans look like restaurant gears, heavy gauge, raw aluminum handle (need a towle to hold the handle for sure). Are they still used in restaurant? Are they suitable for home use too? Knowing it will pit if cook with acid food, but does it really matter that much for a home cook?
