Altman brings SF to Mumbai?

A sidebar link here to a tidbit about Joey Altman's plans to bring San Francisco style food to Mumbai caught my eye.

This quote really flummoxed me: "Altman says it will be in the style of places like Chez Panisse Cafe, Salt House and Perbacco, but will be more of a small plates lounge concept."

I'm just trying to figure out how it's going to be in the style of three fairly different restaurants and also be a small plates lounge, which none of them is.

Actually, it sounds like one of those restaurants you run across in other countries that claim to be doing "American" food and seem to think that means throwing a bunch of disparate things together and serving them in three years ago's trendy setting.
