Alpha Donut Wizard

At 2:45 pm, I walked into Alpha Donut on Queens blvd at 46th street for the first time. A blond waitress was holding court as she takes care of the 4 or 5 customers at the counter, and a woman getting take out. I just quietly surveyed the donut collection, thinking it isn't fair to come at such time to expect good donuts...Then the waitress says, "donuts?", "yes..." She says something to somebody else, then back to me, "sugar raised? and a honey dipped?..." I was stunned. "uh..exactly!" Then she was talking to yet another table while handing me the donuts, and my change. It's the first time I've seen someone operate with their "peripheral"; sort of
Zen-in-action, not looking at one person in particular, yet knowing all that's going on around her.

The Donuts were still warm! Fluffy and slightly chewy at once. Much much better than the Krispy Creme donuts even when hot!

So now, after tasting the donuts, I have another explanation for her psychic-ness : Maybe I've been sleep walking into the shop all these months, and therefore she knew what I wanted. Those donuts would definitely drive me to sleep walking...
