All'Angelo Cichetti

After learning about the new cichetti menu, I just had to try it. My 1st dinner at All'Angelo was the tasting menu and I found it only mediocre compared to Valentino and Angelini. 2nd meal was better! Cichetti are Venetian style appetizers, small bites, introduced last month and only served Mon-Thu. Here's what I ordered:

Salumi plate (off regular menu) -vintage Berkel slicer in action
Salmon Carpaccio -tasty but small portion
Foie Gras Pate Canape -good but not special
Bone Marrow Canape -rich!
Radicchio Lasagna -never had this before, good porcini
Baby Octopus stew -awesome flavors
Beef Meatballs -great sauce

Very satisfying and everything ranged from good to great. Total bill with 1.5 glass of nerello(they serve half glasses) after tax/tip came out to $120. Good service and dinner all around. I'll definitely return to try the rest of the cichetti as well as additional antipasti.
