Has anyone been to this place on 34th near 3d Ave.? It's a Turkish place masquerading as a pizza place ("best pizza in New York," claims their takeout menu, along with "Best Turkish food in New York"!).

I have only had the small appetizer platter ($8 and more than a meal for me), which has the usuals--tabbouleh, hummus, baba ganouj--plus two other eggplant salads and previously, a garlicky cacik. No cacik last night, but a stuffed grape leaf. It comes with a large round of fresh bread for dipping. All were fresh and tasty. I don't know how much further I'll penetrate the menu, since it's mostly lamb, which I don't eat. I'm curious how they do with other types of food, though. They serve lahmacun, pide with a variety of fillings, and a whole roster of lamb kebabs. Platters around $8-12, I think.

BTW, my tastes have been delivered, so I haven't been inside or talked to the proprieters. Decor looks to be pizza-by-the-slice formica.
