Restaurants & Bars

Somewhere within the past two or three months I read that Paloma Aldaco
was going to open a new "Aldaco's Restaurant" on I-10 near The Rim and
La Cantera. Does anyone know if this is going to happen? I loved her
fabulous restaurant in the Sunset Station and also loved Paloma Blanca when she ran it. I understand that the Sunset Station is now reserved for
private parties...and Paloma Blanca is not as good as it was with her in charge. I have been to the Aldaco's north of Loop1604 ( a long ways north of 1604) and found that nothing has enough spice. I suppose she had to adjust those recipes to suit that gringo market, but it's a very pale version of the terrific tlapeno soup and the tasty gorditias she served in the past. I'm hoping that one of you 'hounds knows more than I about the expected new place. Anyone???
