Yesterday at the San Gennaro Festival in Hollywood this pizza place had a stand. I had 2 slices of cheese and thought it was very good. Nice thin crust, floppy so you had to fold it in half to eat it, good tasting and amount of cheese. They were charging $2 a slice for cheese, $3 for toppings.
They also had mushroom which were fresh and pepperoni that didn't look too greasy. This was more like New York pizza to me then D'Amore's (which still has a place in my stomach. Albano's crust is thinner than D'amores and they also use much less cornmeal on the bottom of the crust.
Their flyer says they are at 7261 Melrose Ave and are going to open in Studio City soon. Has anyone else been? What are the prices on the whole pizzas, do they have subs?
