Al Vento Mpls- some great olive oil cake

Hi hounds-

I went to check out Dominguez Restaurant tonight- wasn't thrilled by the fish tacos which surprised me by being drenched in a pretty salty chipotle sauce. The sauce was good but a bit too much of it. I am used to fish tacos where the fish is not that seasoned and there are sauces, lime juice, salsa etc to add yourself. Very cozy place though, friendly and busy.

Then I realized I was near Al Vento, never have eaten there but went in to look at the menu, saw olive oil cake on the dessert menu and got some to go. I have been reading about how great olive oil can be for baking.

Wow, that was my idea of a perfect piece of cake! Super moist, a bit lemony, not sugary, with a lovely fruit sauce on top (strawberry? strawberry/raspberry?) and 2 huge blackberries and a puddle of olive oil around all of it. Makes me want to try baking with olive oil. Anyone eaten here lately?
